All Profoto Softboxes feature a recessed front that allows you to attach masks for additional light shaping.
The Mask Kit for the Profoto Softbox 4×6’ includes two masks with different shapes: a Round mask and an Edge mask. Both attach quickly to the softbox using the built-in Velcro attachment, making it easy to modify the light without changing your setup.
The Edge mask blocks the center of the light while leaving the outer edges illuminated, creating a beautiful contour light around your subject and an intriguing catchlight. The Round mask transforms the rectangular softbox into a circular light source, offering a different character of soft light.
