Beamz BT280
The?Beamz BT280 is a slimline high powered LED parcan designed to give you a great and vibrant colour wash. Powered by 7x10W LEDs and featuring the latest Hex colour (RBGAW+UV) for full spectrum colour mixing. The par is housed in a robust ABS plastic housing and includes a dual yoke for floor mounting. The slimline design allows you to set it up in even the tightest of spaces, and can fit inside box trussing (290 mm).
The BT280 comes with preset programs including colour fade, sound active, and static colour settings. Or for more advanced control there is a choice of a 2, 3, 4, and 10 channel DMX control options. Super-Softie®
The Super Softie® is a completely new approach to the slip-on windshield. The new shape & open cell structure along with specially designed 3D-Tex™ material provides increased wind attenuation performance compared to conventional slip-on designs. It also achieves improved attenuation in extreme low frequencies and infrasonic frequencies protecting captured audio where wind noise is at its greatest.
3D-Tex™ Material
The Super Softie® windshield is designed with 3D-Tex™, a specially designed new material that combines enhanced acoustic transparency with outstanding attenuation of wind noise without the use of fur. This new material covers an open-cell foam structure rather than a rigid internal chassis to yield virtually no polar pattern distortion.

Finding the correct slip-on windshield will depend on the type, length and diameter of the microphone. Slip-on windshields are designed for cylindrical shotgun mics, ranging from 19-25 mm in diameter.
For any windshield to work effectively it must cover all the ports on the microphone. Therefore a 12 cm slip-on windshield would be suitable for shotgun microphones, with slots no further than 12 cm from the front of the mic.
The diameter of the microphone is also key, as the fit must be tight in order to achieve a good seal. Rycote slip-on windshields come in three diameter fittings, Universal (19-25 mm), Standard (19-22 mm) or Large (24-25 mm).
