Manfrotto 526-1 526 Professional Fluid Video Head
The 526 Professional Fluid Video Head directly addresses the high-end, heavy-duty video market by offering a feature-packed fluid video head with the ability to support up to 16 kg and counterbalance weight from 8 to 15 Kg. The 526 features a replaceable and removable pan arm rosette, designed so that if any damage occurs to the side castings only a small part needs to be replaced. Its large rubber padded knobs provide enhanced grip and all the controls (tilt and pan lock, tilt drag) are located on the left side so they can easily be reached The 526 provides a fluid drag system comprised of three step settings for low, medium and high drag levels (numbered 1, 2 and 3), plus an additional no-drag setting (number 0) for occasions such as snap-pans/tilts. It features continuous counterbalance system for weights between 8 to 15 Kg @ 125 mm C.O.G. The built-in 100mm half-ball adapts to a number of our tripods, allowing quick camera levelling with the aid of the leveling bubble. Manfrotto 528XB 528XB Pro Video Heavy Tripod
The 528XB is the ideal location tripod, with a massive 110 lbs (50kg) load capacity. It is a sturdy single-stage tripod with a single-tube leg structure. Tubes are made of stainless steel for strength under heavy loads, and aluminum for weight saving. The leg spread is fully adjustable, but also incorporates a 30° locked position for faster set up and greater strength. A 100mm bowl accepts industry-standard half-ball video heads and allows you to level the head quickly for accurate panoramic shots. The included claw ball allows you to use it with heads not equipped with a half ball. The 528XB includes a versatile mid-level spreader, which has telescopic ”ratchet” braces that click into place in each of the preset positions for faster deployment. Each brace can be individually set, allowing each tripod leg to be separately positioned.

Working with the centre column in the horizontal position on Manfrotto tripod models MDEVE tripod family has always caused a slight difficulty, in that the head remains at 90° to the ground making it more difficult to position the camera correctly for shooting. One of the most common problems in still photography and, above all, video has been resolved by Manfrotto, thanks to the use of a 50mm diameter levelling half ball mounted at the top of a tripod centre column so as to make the angle of the top plate independent of the rest of the tripod. Locking and unlocking of the half ball is via a turning grip on the bottom of the centre column, which can be removed during fitting of the column to your existing tripod. The half ball-mounted plate has a male 3/8” screw for attachment to a photo or video head, and a bubble spirit level for added ease of use.
