The physical dimensions of this plate is slightly larger than the V-Lock connection of a standard V-Mount battery which offers users unparalleled flexibility in terms of where they can mount this plate.
The plate features a universal 1/4″-20 screw with locating pins which provides a secure connection while minimizing risk of the plate rotating out of position.

This adapter allows you to adapt a Sony L Series battery plate (such as the one built into the various Z CAM cameras) to a V-mount battery plate.

This allows you to use the much greater battery life of a V-mount battery to power your camera setup, keeping battery swaps to a minimum.

This is also the perfect solution to power smaller accessories that traditionally use lower capacity L Series batteries such as smaller LED Light Panels or external monitors for focus stations.

The Type II version is designed to be more compact to put less stress on the Sony L-Series contact pins, but can interfere with some of the ports on Z CAM camera bodies.

We recommend Type I plates for users who foresee this being an issue.

This mounting plate is used in conjunction with the Ronin 2 TB50 battery holder to attach two TB50 batteries to the bottom of the Float System’s post.

This allows you to provide external power to your gimbal with two TB50 batteries while also providing some counter weight to the bottom end of the post for when you are attempting to balance against the weight of your gimbal/camera setup.
