While the special microphone cable breaks out into four standard male XLR connectors. Allowing you to then record four separate tracks for the complete audio experience.

Additionally, you can manipulate your sound in postproduction by using the free SoundField by RODE plug-in processor. Allowing you to adjust the mic’s position, directivity, and rotation. Then, create a full 7.1.4 surround-sound mix or 360 head-track-compliant soundscape for VR applications. So whether you’re recording music, vocals or sound effects; the Rode SoundField gives you endless flexibility and sonic quality.
