The 4 x 5.65″, 1/4-density Antique Black Pearlescent Filter from Tiffen makes skin tones warmer and uses a black pearlescent component to maintain deep blacks while preserving shadow detail, especially in the face. The result is a softer image without excessive halation or loss of contrast.

The filter features water white glass and is made using the ColorCore process, which laminates the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass, and then grinds and polishes them to a precise tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch of flatness.
