The Top Lock system has been developed to offer photographers a fast, easy to use and very secure camera quick release mechanism suitable for heavy pro equipment. The camera plate clicks into the clamp from above, and as soon as it engages, it triggers a safety pin that stops the plate and camera from sliding out accidentally.
Even before the clamp is locked, the camera is securely supported. Made from lightweight aluminum, the clamp has 3 bubble spirit levels (one for each axis of rotation) to facilitate precise framing and help produce straight images in-camera, ensuring the camera’s full frame is usable and reducing post-production time. Camera attachment plate for use with Manfrotto’s Arca-compatible Q6 Top Lock quick release system, developed to offer photographers a fast, easy to use and very secure quick release mechanism suitable for heavy pro camera equipment. The plate has a redesigned screw, which can be tightened to your camera in a number of different ways: by hand, using the special flip-handle; using a coin, inserted into the wide slot; or with the supplied allen key for maximum stability. The plate is also compatible with Arca-style systems from other manufacturers.
The Top Lock Travel Quick Release Adaptor allows you to fix your Arca-type plate to the Manfrotto Befree 494 or 496 heads. It is the first Arca-Swiss adaptor by Manfrotto compact enough to be fully compatible with the Manfrotto Befree travel tripod range, whose legs fold perfectly around the head and Top Lock Travel Adaptor.
Made of lightweight aluminium, the adaptor has a two-axis spirit level to facilitate precise framing and help capture level images in-camera, ensuring the camera’s full frame is used and reducing post-production time. The adaptor features an ergonomic side knob that locks the plate and keeps it safely in place while you shoot. The knob is secured to the plate-holder thanks to a mechanism that stops it at its maximum opening.

INSTRUCTIONS: To mount the MSQ6T Adaptor onto your Befree tripod head, simply unscrew the plate-holder of the head with the provided Allen key, replace it with the MSQ6T and use your own screw to fix the adaptor to the head.
