AC224 is a custom-designed antenna combiner and distribution module, featuring 2-zone antenna combining and DC power distribution. It is designed for applications where weight and size are critical, without compromising performance.
The AC224 is an active antenna combiner and distribution system featuring 2×2 inputs and 2×4 outputs. It includes built-in front-end low-loss band-pass filtering, a low-noise amplifier (LNA), and a user-adjustable gain stage at each antenna input. The AC224 allows users to cover a wider area across two zones for cart and trolley set-up applications, resulting in improved RF coverage and performance. Additionally, it offers a compact solution for sound bag applications with its 2×1 input and 2×4 output configuration.
The device features four industry-standard BNC antenna input connectors, allowing for the use of standard low-loss RF extension cables. Additionally, eight mini-RF SMA connectors supply the diversity receivers. Each antenna input can be individually turned ON or OFF through the display menu when not in use, and an LED indicator shows the status of each antenna input.
In applications that require remote antenna powering, the AC224 provides individually switchable remote antenna powering. LEDs indicate the power status, and the Active Antenna Powering can be turned ON or OFF through the display menu.
The AC224 has a high input signal handling capacity, very low noise figure, and outstanding inter-modulation performance compared to other low-power devices.
The frequency range is custom-tuned according to the customer’s specifications. The front-end band-pass filter is designed for very low loss while maintaining high selectivity at both lower and upper frequencies. Each antenna input gain can be individually adjusted by the user in 1 dB increments. The AC224 is compatible with a range of radio microphone receivers in the industry, including full-digital, digital-hybrid, and analogue models.
A large colour TFT display provides user-selectable colour combinations for optimal lighting and visibility. Brightness can be adjusted through the display menu to enhance visibility.
The AC224 requires external power within a range of 10-18 VDC. It uses a standard 4-pin Hirose connector for the DC input. Additionally, it features a DC distribution system with four Hirose output connectors for powering auxiliary equipment. Each DC output port can be individually turned on or off through the display menu. A voltmeter continuously monitors the input voltage.
Audio Wireless systems with a wide tuning range are now the preferred choice among freelance sound engineers, rental companies, and major broadcasters for all applications involving wireless microphones.
