It lets your monitor accurately portray images you capture, create, edit, and view. Calibrating a monitor allows for a colour-accurate starting point for editing, allowing users to express their creative vision and share their work, digitally and in print.
Designed from scratch with hybrid shooters in mind, the ColorChecker Passport Duo from Calibrite combines both video and photo features into the same portable solution that ensures accuracy from the time of capture. Combining four separate targets in a pocket-sized enclosure, the Passport Duo is also characterized by the updated, v1.2 Camera Calibration software for making DNG and ICC camera profiles as well as a dedicated Adobe Photoshop Lightroom plug-in for making custom post-production profiles.
Problem: Every camera make, model, and individual chip records color in different ways. These camera sensors do not see the same as our eyes and the camera manufacturers go through a lot of trouble to manipulate the data so you get a realistic image. But, there is a lot going on that you have no knowledge or control of. Solution: Color control and consistency requires a color reference tool to account for these variations. Adding color management at the capture stage of your digital workflow assures consistency and accuracy from day to day as well as from camera to camera. A custom camera profile enables you to apply a “˜translation’ that compensates for the characteristics of the light source and sensors to give a more accurate color reproduction in your images.

The five-patch gray wedge has 90% white, 50% light gray, 18% gray, 4% dark gray and 1% black. It has a 2 mm thickness and measures 6×20.3 cm.
