This is a Tilthead with Spigot. It is a safe and secure way to mount any light fixture or accessory with a 5/8” receiver on a stand. The Tilthead features a ratchet locking knob that prevents sudden movements when released. A built-in umbrella receptacle with a knurled locking screw accepts umbrella shafts up to 8 mm.
Perfect on location or in the studio, umbrellas provide soft light, great for portraits or special effect. The new Varos Pro series is 300% stronger than previous versions and features Aluminum alloy body with a metal coldshoe, 3/8″and 1/4″female threaded insert, male 3/8″ and 1/4″s crews included.
The Manfrotto Tilthead Shoe Lock features an adjustable ‘screw locking’ shoe mount which offers an additional locking mechanism to work alongside the built in method used on the flashgun.
The dimensions of the Hotshoe on the bottom of each flashgun can vary from one gun to the other. However, the Tilthead Shoe Lock can comfortably accommodate these variances.
