UA22x4.8 is a portable type zoom lens for 2/3-inch sensor broadcast cameras, covering the wide to telephoto focal range from 4.8mm to 106mm with a compact and lightweight design measuring 252mm and weighing 2.2kg. This lens is a versatile solution that works well in many situations, such as news reporting and studio production that require maximum mobility, and live sports broadcasts that requires operators to capture the excitement and immersion of the event from their assigned positions.

The newly developed “UA22x4.8” inherits the features of the “UA18x5.5”, such as its compact, lightweight design and versatile focal length coverage starting from “wide-angle”, while further enhancing functionality and expressive capability. Through improvements in lens processing technology and a design that balances durability and lightweight construction, we have minimized increases in weight and size compared to the previous “UA18x5.5” achieving a compact and lightweight body weighing just 2.2kg. This reduces the burden of prolonged filming in the shoulder-mounted operation. Additionally, while the “UA18x5.5” offers a focal length range of 5.5mm to 100mm, the “UA22x4.8” provides a wider range of 4.8mm to 106mm. The expanded wide-angle range enables filming in narrow indoor spaces and capturing dynamic sports scenes with enhanced immersive quality.
