Matthews 12K Extension Ear

One of the problems generated by a light source such as a 12K or larger is the tremendous heat transmitted from the front of the light. Using stainless diffusion is not a problem; however when trying to diffuse the source with silk or lighting control filters extreme temperatures will destroy these materials. The Extension Ear will allow the diffusion to be positioned a distance away from the light source thereby avoiding the intense heat and creating an even spread of the light.
