The technical details behind this camera
An FX Format Back Illuminated 45.7 Megapixel CMOS Sensor is on board giving you rich and exquisite detail. This is backed up by the EXPEED 5 Image Processing Engine, giving you ISO reach from 64 -25,600 (expandable to 108,400) resulting in exquisite detail in some of the most compromising lighting conditions.

Impressive autofocus

In addition to superb image quality the D850 has a 153-point autofocus system that will let you freeze all of that detail with absolute precision focus. This AF system is also backed up by 7 frames per second continuous shooting, when you attach the MB-D18 Multi-Power Battery Pack this will expand to another 2 Frames, getting you to a total of 9 frames per second continuous shooting.

Full frame 4k video

Videographers will be happy to see that Full Frame 4K UHD video is on board which will bring about beautiful quality in all lighting conditions when paired with the FX wide angle lenses. In Full HD you can also achieve x4/x5 Slow Motion movies, a great asset to have on board when wanting to insert those dramatic scenes into your hero 4K UHD footage. In addition to all of this there is a Silent Mode 8K UHD Time-Lapse feature which is enhanced by RAW Batch Processing, totally streamlining movie production. Located on the side of the D850 there’s two card slots, a UHS-II SD and an XQD to give you optimal performance when it comes to read and write speeds. RAW images come in three configurations. Small (4128×2752; 11.4 MP), Medium (6192×4128; 25.6 MP) and Large (8256×5504; 45.4 MP). This will significantly improve workflow flexibility.
