The Radius RAD-2 (Dark Edition) is a microphone shockmount suitable primarily for outdoor booming or indoor, when using the mic by itself or with a slip-on fur windshield on it. Designed to hold standard-length shotgun and small-diaphragm pencil microphones (19-25mm in diameter, up to 250mm in length), this suspension provides exceptional isolation from movement, handling noise, and other vibrations associated with booming.
The RAD-2 (Dark Edition) features two soft-coated universal mic clips (dark gray). To achieve the best isolation for your style of booming, three pairs of interchangeable RAD-2 hoops are included: standard firmness (black), soft firmness (dark gray), and extra-fim (dark blue). The RAD-2 hoops are slightly thicker than RAD-1 hoops and have an extra 3mm of bracing on top to hold the extra weight of front-heavy microphones.
The base of the shockmount comes with a 360? rotatable XLR holder to further isolate the mic from cable noise. There is a 3/8″-16 thread at the bottom to mount the RAD-2 on boompoles, stands, or with quick-connect attachments.
Note: XLR jumper cable is not included.
