SmallRig Advanced Cage Kit for Canon EOS C400 4946 is designed to provide filmmakers with a comprehensive set of features and versatile shooting solutions. This cage kit includes a top plate, dual side plates, baseplate, extension module for the original handle, V-mount plate kit, D-tap to 4-pin power cable, 15mm dual rod base, 15mm dual rods, sun shade, NATO Rail for LCD monitor extension, C to C handle extension cable, and handle locking knob.

The modular design of the kit (top plate, side plates, and baseplate) allows for seamless adaptation to various shooting scenarios. The cage kit features multiple built-in mounting interfaces such as 1/4″-20 threaded holes, ARRI locating holes, 1/4″-20 locating holes, 3/8″-16 threaded holes, dual rod clamps, QD interfaces, NATO rails, cold shoe mounts, ARRI rosettes, and more. Combined with the tripod (ID 4463), it facilitates swift landscape-to-portrait orientation switching. The kit can also attach the QD shoulder strap (ID 4118), enabling convenient portability.

Attaching the 15mm dual rods (ID 1053) facilitates the use of the wireless follow focus (ID 3918), while the V-mount plate kit allows for mounting V mount batteries (ID 4292).

The extension module for the original handle not only enhances palm support but also provides additional mounting options on the top handle to extend with accessories like magic arms (ID 3875, 3874), 15mm rod clamps (ID 4171), monitors,  audio receivers, and more.

The V-mount plate kit includes a cheese backplate, an adjustable backplate, and a V-mount battery mounting plate. The side adjustments of the adjustable backplate ensure compatibility with various battery sizes without obstructing access to the INPUT, HDMI, and headphone interfaces.

The bottom features a 15mm dual rod base with an integrated groove for the ARRI bottom dovetail plate. Additionally, the baseplate features anti-deflection pins, groove for ARRI dovetail plates, 1/4″-20 threaded hole, and 3/8″-16 threaded hole, ensuring compatibility with standard ARRI dovetail plates, ARRI BP-8 19mm bridge plates, and more.

The kit includes an LCD sun shade to block out excess light, ensuring a clear screen view in bright conditions, along with a 17mm NATO rail for extending the LCD monitor, allowing for comfortable screen adjustments in shoulder-mount or tripod configurations.

Additionally, the original handle control extension cable connects the original handle to the camera, enabling the handle control while used together with a monitor or a tripod.
