This 100mm G Master series Sony lens is a top of the line short-telephoto prime, featuring Smooth Trans Focus technology which uses an apodization filter to create smooth bokeh with rounded out-of-focus highlights both in the foreground and background. In helping to reduce both spherical and chromatic aberrations the lens has one extra-low dispersion element and one aspherical element to improve sharpness and clarity. A Nano AR coating has been applied on the glass to further reduce the risk of lens flare and ghosting while boosting contrast in strong lighting conditions.
