This lightweight and extremely versatile aluminium tripod has been designed specifically for professional videographers and photographers. As a hybrid tripod, it can be used to mount a flat base video head but it’s also fully compatible with a photo head and so it appeals to both videographers and photographers alike. 504X fluid video head is the evolution of the hugely successful 504HD.
It’s a more compact and lighter version that finally comes with flat base (base diameter 75 mm), developed to meet the needs of the most demanding videographers.

The head is made from a brand-new catching aluminium design, and has a maximum payload of 12kg.

Utilising Manfrotto’s new fluid technology, the camera head allows you to capture judder-free smooth motion pans and tilts. It’s never been easier for the operator to create premium-quality video capture, thanks to a 4-step counterbalance system which can carry payloads of up to 6.5 kg at 55mm C.0.G. That makes using a wide range of different cameras easier and more practical.

Two easy link 3/8” thread connections allow an external monitor or other accessory equipment to be fitted on the head side. On the left side there is a cap cover on the 3/8” easy link connector to avoid cutting during usage.

The sliding-plate side-lock attachment enables quicker set up of the camera, keeping video equipment stable and balanced. Head leveling is simple thanks to the clever backlit levelling bubble.

The 500 fluid video head with flat base includes a sliding plate for extra easy fast set-up and camera connection, it’s compact enough to slot into your case with ease, while fluid cartridges creates the smooth pan and tilt movements. The side lock mechanism allows the camera and sliding plate to click quickly into the head from above, instead of needing to be aligned and slid in from the back.

The head features a fixed counterbalance system of 2.4kg, and can support up to 5kg. A 3/8” easy link thread connection gives you the freedom to connect gear like an external monitor in a jiffy, and the flat base is ideal for attaching a variety of supports.

Support for the video head is provided by a Video Tripod – a hybrid two-stage (or 3-section), carbon fibre single leg-tube tripod that’s compact and lightweight.
