The step-up ring (30.5mm to 40.5mm), available as an optional accessory, makes it possible to mount step rings and filters of other manufacturers. This simplifies the setting of exposure without the troublesome correction calculation of PL filters, etc. The step-up ring can also be used as a hood to protect lenses from scratching, soiling, etc.
