1. The plate utilizing a standard V mount fits most V mount batteries to provide greater battery life for your camera rig with your battery’s power port(s).2. This adapter allows you to adapt a Sony L Series battery plate (such as the one built into the various Z CAM cameras) to a V-mount battery plate.

This allows you to use the much greater battery life of a V-mount battery to power your camera setup, keeping battery swaps to a minimum.

This is also the perfect solution to power smaller accessories that traditionally use lower capacity L Series batteries such as smaller LED Light Panels or external monitors for focus stations.

The Type II version is designed to be more compact to put less stress on the Sony L-Series contact pins, but can interfere with some of the ports on Z CAM camera bodies.

We recommend Type I plates for users who foresee this being an issue.
