Zoom LiveTrak L12next 14×4 Digital Mixer and Recorder

Blending the power of a digital mixer and multitrack recorder with intuitive, analog-style hands-on control, the Zoom LiveTrak L-12next is a 12-channel digital mixer featuring integrated 14-track recording and a 14×4 USB-C audio interface. With five independent monitor mixes for separate listening destinations, it’s perfectly suited for live performances, rehearsals, streaming, and content creation.

Each mono channel is equipped with a smooth 60 mm fader and three multifunction encoder knobs that provide tactile control over gain, EQ, compression, pan, and FX sends—eliminating the need to dive through menus. Mute, solo, and pad functions are instantly accessible, while Hi-Z switching on each mono input accommodates guitars and other passive instruments. Phantom power (+48 V) is switchable in groups of four, and an onboard OLED display simplifies digital navigation and visual feedback.

The built-in recorder captures up to 14 tracks at resolutions up to 24-bit / 96 kHz, recording directly to internal memory or an SD card. For final mixes, the stereo master bus can be recorded in pristine 32-bit float, ensuring maximum headroom and distortion-free results. Sixteen onboard effects—including high-quality reverbs and delays—add creative flexibility for both live sound and studio work, and wireless mixing is supported via the L-12next Control app.

Three knobs per channel handle High/Mid/Low EQ, and a simple mode switch instantly repurposes them for gain, pan, or sends. Newly upgraded preamps deliver up to +70 dB of clean gain with ultra-low noise (-128 dBu EIN). Each input supports Hi-Z, pad, and +48 V phantom power, offering exceptional flexibility for microphones, instruments, and line-level sources.

The L-12next functions as a 14-input / 4-output USB-C audio interface for Mac®, Windows®, and mobile devices, supporting 24-bit / 96 kHz recording and playback. Record simultaneously to your computer and SD card, synchronize tracks, and even control your DAW directly from the mixer.

Advanced Recording Tools

New features such as Overdub mode and Auto Punch In/Out make it easy to build layered recordings and replace specific sections with precision. The File Select button allows quick loading of additional tracks to expand your mix.

Monitoring & Mix Management

Five independent monitor outputs enable personalized mixes for each performer, supporting stereo headphones or in-ear monitors as well as mono stage wedges.
